A few months ago I was dismissed from my job due to ill heath. My doctor signed me off as I’m not well enough to work. I’m claiming contribution-based ESA, but I’ve yet to receive my first payment. I don’t qualify for UC because my partner earns slightly over the threshold for us to qualify.
I’m a complete mess because my ESA doesn’t cover half of our mortgage. I’ve been applying for jobs despite being unwell because we’re barely scraping by. There are no luxuries for me to cut out and I’ve been selling some of my personal belongings to bring some money into my household.
I feel like a complete failure. I’m asking for some kind words from others or advice if there’s anyone else who has been in this situation too.
Will my situation ever get better?
