Desk and dressing table for DD

My daughter is starting secondary this autumn and we have just moved house so need to organise her new room.

She will need a desk for her to work at, plus storage for books/stationery, but I'd also like the space to double up as a dressing table as she's starting to take an interest in doing her hair etc.

Has anyone got any examples they can share of how to create a functional desk/dressing table combo?

Thanks!

My daughter's room isn't big enough for a desk (that's in another space), but she uses the top of her chest of drawers as a "dressing table" - she has a make up mirror and some storage containers with jewellery/makeup/hair stuff on. Her hair straighteners (and hair products) live in her top drawer.

I think she would struggle to live with study things and beauty things in one space (she does like to spread out).

Although, tbh she mostly does her hair and makeup in the bathroom :)

You can't really have a desk that will also work as a dressing table..it will be covered in lotions and potions, pots and lids, jewellery etc. The antithesis of a calm work space. As a pp said, a different flat surface for the makeup etc..top of drawers is fine, or a long mirror on the wall she can fit in from of with all stuff in a basket.
