Surgical Sperm Retrieval, is it only used with IVF cycles?

My husband had a vasectomy but I think I would like 1 more baby.

I've read about SSR but there's no context to it. Is it only used in IVF or would we be able to have it done and try the natural way with it?

Pretty sure it’s only for ivf icsi as the quantity won’t actually be much and I don’t believe could be wrong you wouldn’t have the fluids for a day turkey baster approach.

Why did he get a vasectomy if you guys where not done.

Because I had 3 children in quick succession in my mid 20s and didn't want another at that point.

It's 10 years later and things are different now.

Makes sense. But yeah you’ll be looking at ivf basically from a quick google.

Don’t think I could get mine to agree to a needle to the scrotum 😬 good luck.

Yeah I didn't think it will happen. Was just wishful thinking.

Thankyou for the reality check x
