14week miscarriage - need to chat

Evening, I am currently in hospital. I'm 14 weeks perfect scan Friday and all tests came back today low risk. 7oclock starting bleeding like a horror film so had to come into EPU, still bleeding now but more like period. Passed one massive clot - which Dr seen and said wasn't baby. My cervix is slightly open. So I'm clearly loosing / lost my baby.

I'll have a scan first thing and surgery tomorrow to remove. I've had miscarriages before but never this late 😭. Not sure what I'm looking for just need to chat.

It's the wait for the scan I know it's obviously gone with the blood buts it's awful.im so sorry for your loss x

Dont rush leaving the hospital, and definitely dont rush back to "normal life" afterwards.

I think I'll be in tomorrow night by the sounds of it. I was told I wouldn't convive naturally as well, I think it's probably a cervix problem. God it's awful, feels harder than my earlier losses. Life is so cruel I had my low risk results today and new mat clothes arrived as im really showing.

Have you got any purple bruise marks on your legs? Have they ran any blood tests for APS? You said its not your first miscarriage and ones this late are often caused by a blood condition, drs don't often test for it or unless you've had a late miscarriage but if you've not had it, ask for it to be done as this causes miscarriages without medication while pregnant.

I can't believe it has a scan babies there measuring right kicking away.

Still bleeding, so obviously it'll scared. Been referred for an urgent scan re cervical stitch. I'm already on progesterone x

Fingers and toes crossed for you. I had several episodes of bleeding in my last pregnancy (can’t remember which weeks though) but still had an absolutely perfect little baby who really needs to go to sleep now.

Just coming back to update incase anyone falls on this thread in a similar situation.

Currently feeding my baby boy ! By miracle he hung on it was an awful pregnancy. He arrived at 31 weeks so we spent 5 weeks in NICU but he's here and is now just like a normal newborn, he's 11 weeks but 2 corrected .

I had very similar and thought I'd miscarried at home. I carried on for another ten weeks until I was finally sent for a scan where I was 20 weeks pregnant!
