Toddler Bedding??

Help, because although this should seem very basic and straight forward, I just haven't got a clue what bedding to put in 20 month olds bed?

He's still in his high sided cot, so while the blanket he's been using happily is getting a bit chilly (and small) for him, the "toddler" duvet I have is enormous and doesn't work with an enclosed cot. It's also a bit thick. I've put it on him on the odd occasion he's slept on another bed this week and he's just kicked it off.

To save me hours of trawling the internet, can you share what your toddler is using please!

Mine insists on using every single blanket we own in the entire house, all piled on top of him. Either that or one really thin blanket and then we sneak in and pop the duvet on him after he's asleep. He's older though. At 20 months we still had him in a sleeping bag.

Just to add, sleeping bags are over and done with. He can't stand them now.

You get cot quilts that are not as big as a duvet

Can you point me in the direction of one because all I can find is ones described as toddler quilts which aren’t suitable

Ikea duvet and pillow for cot.

@Instaflan Why are toddler quilts not suitable?
Quilts and duvets are ok from 1 year old as long as they don't exceed 4.5tog for use in a cot/cotbed

DS had a quilt from Asda until he went into a toddler bed at just over 2. Dunelm currently do them, I've been looking at theirs for DD

Is it a really small cot, OP? Cotbed duvets are normally 120x150cm. You could put it in sideways and tuck it in round the mattress?

My 15 month old now has a silent night summer tog toddler duvet and pillow. She's still in a cot, it's a little big but I tuck it in at the bottom.
