Lost stuffed dog on flight - help!

LaMadrilena · 20/08/2024 07:53

My 3yo seems to have left her stuffed dog on our Ryanair flight MAD-LPL on Sunday morning. We're devastated. Any advice on what we can do to try to track her down?

LPL have confirmed they don't have her. I've posted on a lost and found site called white boomerang.com.

Does anyone know of any other sites to use? Could I find out where our plane went after LPL so I can check lost property there?

I can't believe how sad I am about her! I'm kicking myself for not checking more carefully under seats etc but getting off was a bit of a rush.

I'd appreciate any help or advice.

@otravezempezamos

im not sure Little Ted ever ventured out the house again.

Aw OP what a wonderful ending.

Like @SummerSplashing I didn't open your thread when it first popped up as I knew it would make me cry!

DD’s precious toy dog went missing when she was almost 3 but thankfully turned up a bit bedraggled from his adventure but otherwise unscathed several days later. Talk about an emotional rollercoster 😂 He’s still happily sleeping next to her 7 years on🥰

What a lovely update! So kind of the lady who brought your doggy home 🩷

LaMadrilena · 22/08/2024 22:25

SO kind! I gave her some wine and chocolate obviously (which she didn't want to accept) and am just writing to her company so they know just what a great person they are employing.

Here she is! I'll be getting her a collar and tag for her next flight.

That's amazing!

Our 6 year old's hedgehog got lost on a transatlantic journey.

Bereft kid.

When we returned home - hedgehog was waiting in a parcelled box - having been "rescued by the train, pilot, children, washed and sent home".

Reality? Hedgehog was found on Vinted - order placed immediately after locating it and child, now nearly 9, is none the wiser

Oh @LaMadrilena I've shed a little tear at your update and photo of doggy safely back in the arms of her tiny human!

Lovely to see there's still some good people out there 🥰

There has been a miracle and WE GOT OUR DOGGY BACK!!!

A lovely lady at Swissport has been looking after her at her office all week, saw one of my desperate posts on Facebook and brought her to our door this afternoon. She's even going to send us some photos of her helping out around the office.

Aren't people lovely?

Yes this is lovely news and well done Swissport, but it rather begs the question why, if you had already asked the airline and the airport, did this lady only know you were the owner after seeing a post on Facebook? Where were the internal communications with the ground handlers that should have notified them that a passenger was looking lost property?

I work with the aviation industry and I find them not joined up at all, this is a perfect example.

Also you were very lucky as most stuff just gets binned.

Dh left his glasses on a plane. Our local swissport lady said she has a box with a great many pairs for him to check through.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/08/2024 10:30

And sew /write your telephone number on dog on label /collar so never gets lost again

I've found lost softies and rang the number on them and had owners overjoyed

Mini blondes has bun bun. But lots of them. She isn't that fussed - sometimes likes a new fresh soft clean one but also has a skanky smelly well loved one that gets washed lots but is her fav
