Just been for a second night on virtually no sleep, and am really scared about what will happen. Has anyone had this happen to them? Surely exhaustion will kick in and make me sleep at some point? Whenever I try to sleep, my heart thuds. GP not much use.
Any words of experience or wisdom?
I've had worsening sleep over a few weeks, since some very stressful stuff happened.
TIA

I have found a low dose of mirtazapine to help. It can give very vivid dreams and some people gain weight but, when all else failed, it helped me a lot.

I had the same thing last year—awake for hours, mind racing, feeling shaky and panicked at night. What helped calm me down was going for a short walk in the evening, cutting screens after dinner, and oddly enough, trying delta 9 thc gummies https://www.exhalewell.com/delta-9-gummies/. I only take them occasionally and at a very low dose, but they helped me fall asleep without that horrible dread building up.
