Need to call in sick tomorrow- anxiety

Well not sick as such, but my little one year old is poorly again and I won't be able to go to work.

I'm absolutely dreading this phone call in the morning.

I've only been back off maternity leave 6 weeks, I'm on a new team and have 6 different supervisors so don't know any of them that well. Busy environment- public services.

I'm a single parent, Dad isn't involved at all. No family nearby. Totally alone.

Took little one to the GP today and she has slapped cheek. Have some friends local but couldn't expect anyone to have with such a contagious illness.

Feel so anxious about it. This is the second time she's been ill since I returned- it doesn't look good. I had to have three days off last time for a sickness bug as she couldn't go to nursery.

I just wanted a handhold, not sure how I will cope long term if this is life now.

They get lots of bugs when they start going to nursery - it’s annoying but it’s quite normal.
also normal to get stressed about it! Can you talk to your line manager and explain the situation? Maybe there’s some flexibility/some work can be done from home while LO is poorly.
