Do I quit this job?

I posted the other day and I got some helpful replies but I'm still so confused.
It's a hotel reception but it's anytime between 7-11pm
I get my rota on the Sunday for the following week (starting the Monday ) so I can never plan anything
They have me working till 11pm then back in for 7 am (so they mix lates and earlys )
I'm so tired today
I feel exhausted
I must have got 4 hours sleep if that last night.
I honestly don't know what to do

Question: Do you absolutely need the income from this job?

If "yes" stick with it but look for something else.

If "no" quit now before the stress gets to you.

LuckysDadsHat · 19/08/2024 19:07

Legally you should have 11 hours between shifts, so they are breaking the law on that.

OP you keep posting about this job. Just quit for your own mental health.

Are you looking for other jobs? What's the likelihood of finding something else that might suit you better?

Alternatively can you speak to them about your hours and see if anything can be changed? It doesn't sound sustainable as it is.

I am looking for other jobs
I currently have LCWRA on my universal credit claim so I know if I left this job I would still have this

Another one here saying it's illegal to not have 11 hours "off" between shifts. If you finish at 11pm, you should not be going in at 7am!

So they have you working until 11pm and then back in the next day at 7am on a regular basis?

Or do you work a shift pattern of lates and then a pattern of early starts and it's just one day that you finish at 11pm and start the next day at 7am?

I remember your last thread and remember you saying you've been looking for work for a while now. So essentially you do need this job?

I also think it isn't right to give a rota the day before. As you say how can you make any plans for your time off.

This sounds like Premier Inn 👀 I lasted a month there because they were constantly doing this to me. Leave. They are an awful company to work for.

looneyprincess · 19/08/2024 19:30

This week its today 7-3
Tomorrow 3-11

I have quit it's not worth it
I have enough money to last me till I find another job
I'm hoping I will find something in a month
