I just feel like I’m grieving already it’s just awful. I feel like I’m letting my baby down, my little girl down and my husband down xx

You are absolutely NOT letting anyone down. Whatever happens, this is something that can't be helped.

Even if it's worst case scenario, look into the face of your lovely little girl. Live for her. She loves you and needs you and she will be your whole world and the reason you will smile again.

All the best for your scan tonight @YourBusyTurtle

Thank you everyone. It’s just so difficult having had a MMC with my first pregnancy, spotting
with my little girl’s pregnancy (first trimester) and now full on bleeds with this pregnancy. It’s just so much emotionally to deal with and brings back so many bad memories and feelings. I feel like I’m grieving

When I had my late mc it started with slight spotting and then cramps like labour pains which got worse and worse before any real bleeding started. I knew long before the bleeding that I was having a mc. My sister and my friend both had heavy bleeding but no cramps and both went in to have healthy babies. I hope that all will be well for you.

Adelaff · 20/08/2024 17:41

I had some light bleeding on and off during T2 of my second pregnancy, it drove me crazy with worry at first. They didn't know why, though I ended up having a low lying placenta which might have been the culprit. It's so hard not to worry. I think a private scan can't hurt, hopefully it will show all is well with baby and you've nothing to worry about. I hope they and you are ok.

itsgettingweird · 20/08/2024 18:32

Oh lovely. I hope all is well at the scan.

But you haven't and aren't letting anyone down. You can't control these things.

You are such a lovely warm person and have shown such gratitude to support here I having everything crossed for you.

Flowers and Cake

I can't send alcohol but you can eat as much cake as you want!

SCH are not looked for at your regular scans and are difficult to identify...I know this because I've had bleeding since 20wks+5 (a week after my 20wk scan) and the sonographer needed to call for a second opinion from a senior to be able to say 'suspected blood clot' on the report - I passed it days later and it was massive. Don't be disappointed if they don't see one on the private scan. My bleeding has been heavy and lasted for days at a time - I haven't had any in over 2 weeks now and I'm 28wks. Doctors have said to me that not knowing the cause is a good thing, ie. it's not PP. Hopefully the same for you.

boymamm · 20/08/2024 18:47

Thinking of you OP, I hope everything goes okay Flowers

NewGreenDuck · 20/08/2024 19:24

Just to add I had a cervical erosion during my 1st successful pregnancy, having had 3 miscarriages. The doctors at my surgery were useless and it was only when I booked myself into the maternity unit at 28 weeks, by the simple expedient of refusing to leave, that the consultant realised what was happening.
Cervical erosion is apparently quite common, it has nothing to do with miscarriage, doesn't cause them and in my case cleared up by itself shortly after the hospital stay. I spent weeks bleeding, worried about miscarrying when it was nothing to do with pregnancy.
I'm saying all that just for info.

Blackcat08 · 20/08/2024 19:36

Fingers crossed for you. X
