Can I travel to Spain with 5 and a half months left on my passport?

UK passport issued 9 years 4 months ago, meant to be travelling next week to Spain when I will have five and a half months left before expiry. Staying in Spain for a week.

I have read that Spain requires three months validity to be on a passport but then also read that if you have less than six months you can face issues at immigration.

Does anyone know?

We are flying with BA.

You should be fine since Spain only requires three months of validity beyond your departure date. A friend of mine was in the same situation recently and had no issues traveling to Spain. They even toured around,Just make sure your passport is in good condition and double-check with BA if you want extra peace of mind. Have a great trip!

My partner flew to Germany 2 weeks ago for a week with 5 months left on passport with no issue. He renewed when we came back, posted old one to passport office on Monday and new passport arrived Thursday.
