Feel so rough, sore throat, bit shivery, funny tummy, anyone else?

Been like this since Thursday night but nowhere near as bad as today.
Woke up feeling hot, very sore throat, shivery a bit and pains in tummy and been to the toilet twice (soft not diarrhea).
Anyone else?

Can you test for Covid. I had pretty much the same symptoms a couple of weeks ago and when I rang to cancel a hospital appointment the receptionist advised that the strain of Covid doing the rounds now presents like this. I felt a bit off with a dicky tummy for the first couple of days and then the symptoms really ramped up. Did a Covid test and it was positive. Hope you feel better soon - if it’s Covid, don’t fight it. Just rest and keep hydrated if you get the runs.

My tummy pains were quite high up. No runs but poor appetite.

It may not be - could just be a tummy bug, but the fact that the symptoms have slowly got worse over the last few days does seem to suggest Covid. It took me a couple of weeks to fully recover but the key is rest and hydration. I do hope you feel better soon.💐

Covid here too - had the exact same about a month ago. Dodgy tummy first, then claggy throat and cold symptoms for 5 days - still have the dregs of the cough now!!

Yep but not Covid - both DH and I have tested negative throughout this thing... Cough, streaming nose, sore sinuses.

Felt like absolute death yesterday and no headache which is my usual main symptom of covid.

Yes, I had this two weeks ago. It was Covid (tested for curiosity!). Felt like grim death for 4-5 days, then another few days to start feeling mostly normal.

It could be anything, you are ill. I had a day of feeling like that prior to Norovirus but also the start of covid and just a normal cold. Either way get to bed, and if you can send someone out for paracetamol, throat sweets, lucozade, soup etc....Whatever your feeling poorly treats are.

Sounds like covid. A few people at work have had this variant and have had all the symptoms you describe . This variant seems pretty nasty for 2/3 days as well.

I dont have any tests...I need to know fir myself and work.

There are a lot of tummy bugs going round. I know two people who’ve ended up in hospital last week with gastro illnesses.

I found 2 old kits... so have just used the swab stick for throat and nose grom kit 1.
The liquid from kit 2 and squeezed on the test itself from kit 1. Come up negative.

Do you think they are compatible?

can you afford to order from Amazon, I got a pack next day, I think it was about £6. Ended up giving them to my neighbour (who did test positive) and reordering some for me.

yes I could have just given her one & kept the rest but I wanted her to be able to test again if she wanted to & to have some in in future.

Neighbours the other side positive too with your symptoms.
