Itchy skin everywhere driving me nuts

It started with prickly heat inside my elbows that I used Sudocrem on which helped. I'm itching all over arms legs body some little red bumps but not a complete consistent rash. Nothing to do with changing laundry liquid or shower or body lotion or anything like that.

Take an antihistamine, see if it helps

I had this recently and it was horrible. I think mine was post viral (Covid) but still not sure. My legs and tops of my arms were so itchy I scratched and bruised my legs. Antihistamine tablet helped a bit but it just gradually wore off. The doctor also prescribed a shower gel to wash with but I don’t think that was the issue.
