Where do you shop for everyday clothes?

Most of my wardrobe is Uniqlo, New Look and Sainsburys.

Leggings are Lululemon and joggers are Sweaty Betty.

PJs Primark.

I'm 5ft2, booby and a size 12-14 (my natural dress size is a 10 but my medication is absolutely screwing my weight. Lots of my weight is around my middle as well which basically means there's not much that looks good.

A lot of my friends shop at places like Cos and Reiss but their clothes seem to be made for taller, slimmer women, not the likes of me. I'd like some better quality clothing but struggling to find places that would have something for my body shape.

I went to a personal shopper thing at John Lewis and the girl in there basically said nothing there would look good on me and that I should try the Abercrombie range for more generous hips etc, but they only do denim in that fit really.

If you are quite busty, mid size or shorter, where are you shopping please?

Next. Because I’m lazy and I don’t like shopping any more, so I get it delivered.

heartsinvisiblefury · 19/08/2024 08:06

Next for the very same reason mentioned above.

Cos, I’m only 160cms and haven’t had a problem with them being too long, I tend to go for mini dresses though, very occasionally midi.

A 12 /14 are aregular size though I get that you are a bit heavier than you like but snooty personal shoppers shouldn't be putting you off! I shop in supermarkets primark and Marks and Spencers and Denenhams online. I'm not particularly stylish though.

M&S (upped their game of late), Tu (living in their denim shorts), ASDA (great cotton shirts), Uniqlo, H&M but on line as I never find anything in the stores, odd item in Primark (often take off buttons, pockets and buy shirts from menswear, as they seem to get the cotton and better weight fabric) alongside the increasingly rare charity shop find (where I hunt for labels long gone, but with the quality). - I am 5'7", size 16-18 with a tummy.

Supermarkets, Matalan or Next.

Coastalcreeksider · 19/08/2024 08:39

M&S, Matalan, Tui in Sainsburys if I'm at the big retail park.

Gone are the days of buying in Principles, Wallis, Debenhams, John Lewis and various other decent independent clothes shops.

Ah yes I forgot M&S. I used to almost exclusively shop at Next but they have so many products it takes an age to trawl through.

I don't think the personal shopper was snooty, I think it's just she wasn't older than about 20 so seemed to have little experience of dressing a body shape like mine.
