Has anyone used their private health to get an assessment how did it work?

Yes you can use private cover if your child is named on it. Read the tc as if your child has been on it for 3 years but you noticed things were different 5 years ago they might not be covered as it's a preexisting condition. Also check the limit on consultations as you will need appointments with physiatrist and psychologist and pay for letters to be written up and not all places have to accept private diagnosis. Also if going for adhd assessment and want medication it can be hard for nhs to take over the medication and private prescriptions add up and your child will need to see physiatrist every year for a medication review.
