Tumble drying straight out of washing machine

How many people tumble dry washing straight out of the washing machine? And how long does it take?

I put small stuff straight in but will hang up larger stuff to mostly dry inside. Outside when it's not horrible weather, which it mostly has been this year.

I prefer to trumble dry stuff rather than having it hanging wet around the house...DH prefers to air dry it a bit first (but doesn't like putting stuff outside on the line because he gets very bad hayfever).

It's a quandry. When he's not around I just stuff it in the turmble dryer and line dry as well

When you say your DH prefers... Does it mean he actually does it, or that he wants you to do that?

I wouldn't stop my partner from using the more elaborate way, I just wouldn't be willing to have more than one time-sensitive action per load)

Apart from delicate things, everything goes in the tumble dryer all year round.

We tumble dry everything. Takes about an hour for a full load.

I either tumble dry or I hang out to dry. Doing both just feels too time consuming. Always use a dry towel and 2 spin cycles before tumble drying.

Usually takes less than 2 hours.
