Littletreefrog · 17/08/2024 20:56

Whitby but I like seaside places in the winter.

Pieceofpurplesky · 17/08/2024 21:08

Chester, York or Harrogate

Orangebadger · 17/08/2024 21:09

The new Forest

longdistanceclaraclara · 17/08/2024 21:09

Cotswolds,

Blackcountryexile · 17/08/2024 21:09

Lots to do in Liverpool.

mindutopia · 17/08/2024 21:10

North Wales or Edinburgh (xmas market)

Newuser75 · 17/08/2024 21:34

Northumberland every time

olympicsrock · 17/08/2024 21:36

SaulGoodmanIsTaken · 17/08/2024 21:37

Sorry that would be helpful wouldn't it.
I'm in Manchester and maybe 3 hours by train?

Recoverymoreprotein · 17/08/2024 22:03

Adult only or travelling with children?

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 17/08/2024 22:17

If I didn't work there, York.
Since I do, coastal Northumberland.

GoFigure235 · 17/08/2024 22:25

Bath, Cardiff or Oxford.

PermanentTemporary · 17/08/2024 22:29

Depends what vibe you like. I'm a big fan of Liverpool but possibly less so at that time of year. I'd pick an area of London, maybe Richmond.

CubistViolin · 17/08/2024 22:30

What do you like doing? City or country? Walks on winter beaches or museums, country pubs or cocktail bars?

fuckyourpronouns · 17/08/2024 22:32

Derbyshire. Peak district is easily accessible by train from Manchester.
Or Sheffield

Senor · 17/08/2024 22:34

another one for new forest and have a slap up lunch at the Limewood hotel. Expensive but unforgettable!!

Cornishcoast1 · 17/08/2024 22:37

York, Cambridge and I would say Liverpool but seen you’re in Manchester so I’ll add Edinburgh to the list instead.

Dufrise · 17/08/2024 22:37

A luxury lodge with a hot tub. Mid November is a shit time though. Fireworks done and too early for Christmas markets.

Toddlerteaplease · 17/08/2024 22:37

York,
Liverpool,
London,
Lake District.

CheeseWisely · 17/08/2024 22:38

Came to say Durham for the lumiere light festival but having googled I see it's their 'off' year so assuming you mean this November, I vote for York.

ErrolTheDragon · 17/08/2024 22:39

It'd depend on the weather. November can be fine walking weather or dire.

For cities, there's lots mentioned already, some like Chester and Liverpool are day trip from Manchester so I'd go a bit further afield. I'll add Bristol to the list.
