Would you pay for a private room

Been in and out of hospital for 2 weeks now can never sleep on the ward due to noise etc and have dreaded being asked to stay in over night. My partner has said if I’m admitted again or for the birth he would happily pay for a private room. There 150 a night and the nurse has said if you want one just ask. Did anyone have one and find it worth it. Last night I got 2 hours sleep due to someone screaming. Ward was also extremely hot so hopefully having a room with a bed next to a window would help.

Post partum absolutely yes !

having been in hospital sitting with an elderly relative in a “ cupboard “ type isolation room it was absolutely a miserable place for them.

I've don't it after 2 of my babies when I had to stay in (3rd one I didn't have to stay). Yes absolutely worth it. I was going crazy on the ward of a busy London hospital as it was sooooo noisy. My first baby had been born a bit early and feeding was a struggle so it just us that peace and quiet that we needed for a few days. Was supposed to £100 a night but they only charged us for one night instead of 3. Second time I only stayed one night and they said not to worry about paying as they were quiet.
Totally worth it if you can afford it in my opinion

I would - I ended up in a side room for various reasons after DC1 and DC3 - it made such a difference and I would have happily paid £150
a night to do so.

Yes I had mine for free though (Wales).

Absolutely. I had a private room for first night and day (for free) after giving birth and when they moved me to the wards it was annoying with all those noises and people being loud. Or eating takeaway in the middle of the night.

Yes, definitely get one. I was given a private room both before and after having DS and they didn’t charge us either. Have no idea why I was given a private room as we hadn’t asked for it, but now I know how lovely it was for the peace and quiet and own bathroom would absolutely recommend it.
