I am so proud of my mum for receiving a MBE for services for fostering..my mum and dad had fostered children for over 45 years..my dad is now 84. My mum is 83...both are now in poor health..what are you proud of your parents for or have one or both received any MBE etc

Isn’t Rita Bob and Sue by Andrea Dunbar? I haven’t seen it so please do correct me if I’m wrong but I had assumed it would be quite bleak, not piss yerself laughing stuff.

Blimey, your dad's 84?

He did well to run off with your girlfriend of 10 years then.

You were asking for tips on getting over the trauma last week.

I hope you're ok now?

Yes Andra Dunbar wrote it based on her life on living on a council estate.i think it was Adopted the film from two of her stage plays..The Arbour and of cause Rita and sue Bob too...Rita was played..Siobhan finneran...sue ..Michelle Holmes...Bob was played by George costigan...it's a must see film highly recommended..Not for children..

Rita, Sue and Bob too is one of the saddest films I have ever seen along with the real life story of Andrea Dunbar and her children. Are you from Bradford?

I love Rita, Sue and Bob too

it’s very bitter sweet

a scene l that springs to mind is from The Inbetweeners where Jay shows the others how great he is on a motorbike and of course the fashion show

and what wonderful parents you have I would be very proud too. I am very proud of my dad he came from a very very poor country his family of 9 children lived in two rooms. Worked very hard, six days a week plus studied and it’s paid off for him. He had to deal with a huge amount of prejudice and everyday open aggressive racism and sadly was at a time he felt he had to accept it. He is very thankful for what he has and feels life has been good to him
