Hi, I had to have a routine 12 lead ECG as part of my work and the result was low QRS voltage and unspecified T wave anomalies. I have had previous ECGs (two years ago) and echo which were entirely normal. A cardioligist reviewed and said I need a stress ECG and an echo. I will have to pay for these and the report myself. Of course, my health is the most important thing, but this will come to a lot of money and I wondered if anyone had any knowledge/experience of this and could advise if this is a normal outcome to this result. I have heard people say that the machine could be wrong, but would not the cardiologist be sufficiently experienced to know if it was a machine error? I saw my GP and he thought that the ECG trace looked fine and so I am confused. I am not even sure if I could get referred on the NHS if the GP does not see a problem, and of course that will take time. I have been given an eight week deadline to complete testing otherwise I will not be able to renew my certificate. I am only seven pounds overweight and otherwise in good health. Does anyone have any knowledge about this sort of ecg result and the usual outcomes. Thank you.
