Motivation at the weekend.

I know folk who get out and about, at weekend they go here and there.
Set off for days out, have breakfast out, never in.

This morning (like every Saturday) I was up at 6.30, emptied the dishwasher, cleaned the kitchen, sorted the washing then “sat down for 10 minutes”, fell asleep and woke up after an hour and a half.
Ive got so much housework and gardening to catch up but I’m shattered and cannot be bothered.

Im so so SO tired. Have no motivation to get everything together and go somewhere, do something different, see lovely places.
Life is so short. The weeks just fly by.

Are you a busy out and about person?
Do you plan ahead or just go spontaneously?

Where do you get your energy and motivation from?

I posted a similar thread last week about wasting my weekends,as I always felt so tired I don't do anything or go anywhere.I've decided to write a to-do list for my days off. A little list of things I'd like to do over the weekend. A mix of fun things eg go for coffee,a walk in the woods/to the beach, and those odd jobs I never get round to such as hang some pictures or weed the garden. I find it helps if I've got a list of things to choose from otherwise my mind goes blank and the tiredness wins if I have to decide at the weekend what I'm going to do! Perhaps that would help for you?

Funnily enough I find joy in lists!
I do make them and cross stuff off. I even add stuff I’ve done to cross off!

I’ve mopped the floors and hoovered the downstairs, cleaned the kitchen and sorted some washing. All ticked off.
I could very very easily lie down on the sofa and go to sleep now though.

Tomorrow I’m going to do something fun. (Probably sleep)

That's fab at least you've done something that needed doing! I've ticked off my to do list for today and written another one for tomorrow. I think it's definitely the way forward for myself. I'm not going to beat myself up if I don't get the full list done some days but as long as I've done something I'm happy. And if a nap is something fun for you (I know it is for me) stick it on the list lol

Ever since my DD finished school I have been like this. I wake up around 5:30 lay in bed for a bit, take care of the dogs, eat a bagel, turn on the tv and within an hour I’ve dozed off. I may wash clothes or do a small chore. But that’s about it. I’ve always been low energy unless there is something I must do or something I’m excited about. Not much excitement now in my 50s so napping is what I do on the weekends 😂
