Is data analyst as a career oversaturated?

I want to transition from law to data analytics, but I'm concerned about whether the field is oversaturated. I'm also considering pursuing a master's in data analytics—does the reputation of the university matter? What steps can I take to improve my chances of securing a job in this field?

Hi, I work in analytics in a large organisation in the UK and our demand for analytics skills has grown hugely over the past 5-10 years, I expect it'll continue growing.

I'd suggest having a browse of entry level jobs to get an idea of what they're looking for in terms of qualification. Once you've got some experience in an entry level job (which aren't poorly paid) there should be opportunities to job hop.

Could also join a large firm who have both a legal and a data team so that you could transition from one to the other. Also there may be legal teams which use analytics or want to grow their data capability
