What's wrong with me? Why am I so awkward?

I have started working at a GP surgery as a receptionist/admin assistant (3 days ago )
I just feel so awkward
Walking in and walking behind the desk feels strange and I feel like an intruder.
When someone approach's the desk I let the other receptionist say hello because I feel like I'm intruding

How can I get past this ?

Sounds normal? You’re only 3 days in, it’s just newjob jitters, I’m sure you’ll settle. Remember some patients coming in won’t know you’re new at all, they probably don’t go to the doctor regularly. I’m sure the other receptionist is happy to have a helping hand too.

Imposter syndrome.

Give yourself time. You will get there but it is always strange starting a new job.
