Just seen an advert where people are sat on the loo while using phones .
Am l in the minority that thinks it's unhygienic and never do it?
Also it can interfere with your bowel habits and become unhealthy with complications.

Not something I would do as likely to drop it down the loo but how can it interfere with bowel habits.

I do sometimes. It's a few minutes peace and quiet. Plus I have to take it out of my pocket when I pull my trousers down or it falls out onto the floor!

I've never used my phone on the loo.

But I remember a MNetter saying her DS lost his phone and couldn't shit for 3 days! 🤣🤣

I guess it’s replaced the old days of some people taking a book or something to the loo. I don’t think it’s particularly unhygienic… I mean we all have our toothbrushes in the bathroom which seems worse.

@Clementine22
My toothbrush is covered in the cupboard.
When l use hotels l put a cover on

@RaininSummer

Using your phone on the toilet can cause a few problems, including:
Hygiene
Phones can become contaminated with fecal bacteria, and the average phone screen is said to be dirtier than a public toilet seat. This can lead to your phone carrying germs that you can spread to others.
Hemorrhoids
Prolonged sitting on the toilet can increase strain on your rectum and anus, which can lead to hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and rectal prolapse. Symptoms of hemorrhoids include pain, swelling, and bleeding.
Constipation
Sitting on the toilet for too long can cause your body to stop recognizing signals, which can lead to constipation.
