Just split with partner. Finding it very hard to find a house in the location I want to stay to enable our children to go to their current school. So, there is one available that ticks all the boxes except one - bedroom size. However, the house is within budget and would leave me with around £20,000 - £25,000 to make some changes if that makes sense. Would this be enough of a budget to do any sort of work to extend? The house has a conservatory already and a huge garden. I was wondering if I would be able to have one of those garden rooms to use as a bedroom built within that kind of budget? Has anyone had one built recently? Obviously it would need electric and some sort of heating which sounds expensive. I don’t know if I’m being completely deluded but I’m getting a bit desperate! I hope I’m being clear about the sort I mean, they’re not brick built, I think they come as a package but obviously you then have to pay a builder to do the work etc.
