Can you get hemorrhoids in your vagina?! TMI obviously

Just that really...

I'm posting here for traffic. I'm pregnant and my waters leaked last week and I had bleeding with that but the water has stopped. The bleeding did stop too for a while.

Anyway since then I think I've developed a hemorrhoid (in the usual place) as I have bleeding when I poop or if I'm constipated. But the blood also comes out of my vagina at the same time? I'm 99% sure the bleeding is coming out of my vagina but it definitely seems to correlate with my bowel movements (or lack of) which seems weird.

Can you get a hemorrhoid in your vagina like you can in your bum? I've googled but can't find much so thought I'd ask the wisdom of Mumsnet...

I'm still in the hospital (not in the UK) and have had vaginal exams but they didn't notice anything amiss (and I've only just noticed the hemorrhoid/that some of the bleeding is from my bum so I hadn't mentioned it).

Of course I'll ask the drs next time I see them but I was hoping somebody else has experienced the same?

Sorry for the overshare and hi to any mumsnetters in my due date group who recognise me (with added TMI) 😂

It very common to get varicose veins in your vulva towards the end of pregnancy. I would think it really unlikely though that those would be bleeding.

My guess would be that it’s the pressure from doing a poo that’s causing a little bit of bleeding. This can happen if your cervix is irritated, for example, and that might be likely if you’ve been having lots of internal exams. I would want them to test that there isn’t an active infection though given you were leaking some amniotic fluid.

@mindutopia thanks for the information. They've covered me with antibiotics and are testing my blood regularly for infection markers and so far everything has been normal. I did have a varicose vein (I think) on my labia like right by the entrance to my vagina. It's just so worrying and frustrating! They don't want to send me home as they're worried it's the placenta.

Just get it checked if you're worried it's always safer to get checked! X

Get checked out to be sure but I had loads of varicose veins in my groin during pregnancy. Luckily, they all disappeared after. Except the ones on my legs!

Yeah, I'm in the hospital right now and been checked but they can't find any reason for the bleeding. I haven't seen anyone since I noticed the hemorrhoid but will mention it.
