Would this be considered a lodger or non dependant

Hi,

My friend is in a rut about housing and technically homeless and I'm trying to work out whether I would be any help. I live in a 2 bedroom house with my 3 year old. He currently isn't in his bedroom as he co sleeps with me and isn't changing anytime soon. I'm considering offering a place here for my friend until she's back on her feet. I know I will need to inform UC if I do say yes. However, would she be considered a lodger, or a non dependant? I'm trying to work out how much i will lose out on and what will change and they both give different deductions amounts.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Would they consider my son's room being a spare because he's not in it? Or
