Trying to stop breastfeeding to sleep. How does your 17 mo get to sleep?

Mines a few months older but it's been the same since I stopped breastfeeding at 16 months.
Rocking in the arms and singing until totally KO'd.
In the heat has accepted sometimes 'jiggle baby' song as she lays on the cot and a wobble her a little to the silly song we made up.
Not ideal, would like her to self settle but compared to how it used to be when she couldn't be put down at all, I'll take it.

Mine is older now but in a cot with a dummy which he gave up at 2.5 years.

In her cot, snuggy (tshirt), dummy, lullaby music box, dad sat next to her on chair. He eventually weaned off sitting in there.

Have you tried using relaxing fireplace natural sounds? It can be really soothing for both you and your baby, especially when transitioning away from breastfeeding to sleep. A cozy ambiance like that might help your 17-month-old relax and drift off more easily.
