Do passport get delivered on Saturdays?

Just applied for my little ones passport and I'm wondering whether anyone has had experience with the passport office delivering new passports to their home addresses on a Saturday or is it weekday only?

Don't they come in the post? So they could come whenever post is delivered.

Yes, it's Royal Mail. I think my husband's arrived on a Saturday recently. We both renewed our passports and were astounded how quick it was.
