How can I get my boys in their own room.

Ds 8 and 9 share a room. Next week im going to sort out the smallest room for ds9 to go into .

Ds8 will have the larger room . Thing is ds8 keeps saying he's scared he does not want to be on his own. And starts crying.

The only things I can think of is let him have the light on, door open , let him have his tablet in bed so he doesn't feel so on his own . That would have to stop once back at school though.

Is there a problem with them still sharing?.

A very low level night light might be the way to go. This wouldn't be too much of a problem, even after school starts back.

If they are happy sharing why not have a bed room in the smaller room and a play room in the larger one?

Ds 9 has asked for his own room on a couple of occasions.

There's still going to be 2 beds in the larger room . So they could still choose to share when they want to . But ds9 would have his own bed in the smaller room to .

Yeah I'm not to worried about the logjt side of it. But he can't have his tablet once school starts . But might be enough time for him to realise it's not an issue for him to have a room alone

I wouldn't go down the route of allowing a tablet. Just get a plug in night light. Would he like to have a teddy belonging to your older ds to "look after" or has he got a bit old for that.

They don't have teddy's. Yeah I wasn't sure about the tablet. I do let then have it in bed sometimes as a treat . So he would understand it's not a long term thing. But o also wad not sure
