My daughter does not do anything at a reasonable pace.

She's 8 and a half. I adore her. She's the sweetest child in the world. She's bright and clever. Kind. Awesome.

But my word she does everything so bloody slowly. Trying to leave the house requires and extra 15 minutes planning to accommodate her faffing. She's always the last out of the classroom / clubs because she takes so long getting her stuff together.

Can anyone else relate?

Can you make it a challenge to see if she can do X task in X amount of time. Go back to basics with a reward chart, and some sort of visual timer so she can see how long she's taking and how long she has left. If she's able to go to the toilet, fill her water bottle up and put her shoes on within five minutes then she gets a star on the chart, and after ten stars she gets [prize of suitable interest to motivate her]. After a while of that she would have both shown that she can do things more quickly when she wants to, and she'll be more in the habit of it.
