Gift etiquette in the Middle East

Hi there, not sure what to select the topic as, after some travel gift advice.

for the last few years I’ve been the admin for our companies business trips out to the Middle East. The contact at the hotel they say at has been an exceptional help for every trip.

I’ve been asked if I would like to go along on the next one, and would like to take a small give to show my appreciation and also to say ‘hi!’ In person to my contact in the hotel, and possibly the reception staff.

what would you suggest? Sweets (should think these would have to be boiled sweets due to the temperatures!) or biscuits maybe..?

im in Dorset, would ‘local’ gifts be incredibly tacky…?! 😬

many thanks 😊

A tin of local biscuits would probably go down well.
