Intrigued by the teenager wearing one skate and one normal shoe

Is it a new fashion? I was driving along an urban road and saw two teenage girls walking? along talking to each other. I noticed that one of them was wearing one solitary roller blade and on the foot a trainer. What was that about???

It must have been hard for her to walk?!

Well yes, from what I saw as a drove by, it was not an easy task. But she was deep in conversation with her friend as they walked along and didn't appear to be too bothered by it. Weird.

That's the sort of thing you do to accommodate a badly sprained ankle where the NHS hasn't provided a boot/you haven't spent six hours in A&E to be told there's nothing that can be done, as it prevents sideways motion.

I used to share my roller boots with my friend. One each, hold hands, run and skate!

If you keep the skate knee bent, you could ‘scoot’ quite effectively like that, sharing one pair of skates between you!

That's interesting. In my 20s I had Rollerblades that had blades that you could kick off by hitting the toe against your heel. They were the most awesome boots ever made by a company in the States. I need to hunt some out on Ebay. They stopped making them.
