Shoes for school that last - teenage boy

My DS has never had a pair of shoes that have lasted much more than a term.

Has anyone got any recommendations for black shoes that won't fall apart? He's size 11, so man size

Doc Marten shoes. I bought some for DS during year 9 and they have lasted him until the end of year 10 so far. I paid about £60 for them in a sale so worth shopping around.

We get ours in John Lewis, child's sizes as long as we can then, the mens. One is really hard on his shoes, but still lasts a year till he grows out of them.

Bumping for anymore suggestions

They all fall apart- I’ve tried expensive ones and cheap ones, no difference at all. Now just buy cheap ones kangol ones in sports direct and resign myself to them not lasting.

This is actually useful and interesting info! I had wondered if that was the case. Other kids don't seem to burn through shoes like my son, but we have tried quite a few now

Marks and Spencer or Next - my DS plays football in them every day at lunchtime & we've only ever had one pair come apart.
