Changing holiday choices due to heat / climate change?

We used to holiday on the South of France every year, sometimes into northern Spain. Over the years it has just got hotter hotter and hotter. We ended up hiding under in the aircon most of the time! This year we’ve been to the UK, northern Germany, Denmark and the Baltic coast and it has been great! Temps 20-29, light winds, occasional rain and clouds. I can’t see us going back to the Med coast during summer again.

have you changed where you holiday due to increasing temperatures? How has summer next to the Med been this year?

I wouldn't have gone to the Med in the summer anyway, it was always too hot. For people not in Scotland, May half term is a good time to go, and possibly October half term as well although the nights draw in early by then.

I've seen quite a few news articles about going to Germany, Denmark and the Aland islands of Finland.

It's always been too hot for us in the Med at the height of Summer. We went to Cyprus at the start of July once about 35 years ago and it was ridiculously hot, couldn't sit by the pool as the ground was red hot, and we said then "never again". We also went to Malta in July a year or so before that and Malta in July was too hot too! This was around 35 years ago! If we had to go away in July/August, we'd go to cooler places, but generally, instead we go to the Med in May/June or September instead.
