Do you tip your dog groomer?

I have a new dog groomer and am going to her online.

Do I tip? What does everyone else do?

No. I just pay her whatever she charges.

No. She's self-employed and can set her own prices.

I don't tip my cat groomer using same rationale but I do give some money in a card at Xmas. Possibly a gift would be less transactional but there is always someone who hates every possible gift!

I was taught you don't tip self employed / owner of business.
If mum had her hair done by the owner she would leave extra for the trainee/sweeping up girl.
