I just don't get it

No excessive use

Charged all night

Only lasts around half the day

Really bloody annoying

If you go into settings and battery, you can check your battery health, it should still be running at 100% on a new phone.

Probably the heat?

My 14 pro max is now at 93% health and it can last until about 3/4pm or today it needed charging at 12 because it was so warm

When did you get it? I'd go to the supplier and ask for a swap. I did that when I got an iPhone 13 plus AirPods from Tesco. If I remember correctly, the AirPods were shit but they had to be swapped as part of a deal. That was within 14 days. After that I had to go to Apple.

My 14 pro max is at 88% and lasts til about 9pm. Today it was about 6pm but sounds faulty to me.

Me again! But my pro max charges in the car wirelessly which probably means the figure above is a lie.

Thanks so much

How bloody bizarre

They are so expensive

I got one last year, and it's still 100% battery health. I rarely charge it past 80%. When it goes down to 20-30%, I'll charge it. If I am going to be out all day, I will charge it past 90%. Last time I did that, it lasted all day. Doesn't sound right that it's only lasting half a day.

Stupid question

But is there a way to be clever when charging the phone
Ie let it go to zero? To prolong battery life

Does it get hot when charging? Theres been a whole thing about iPhone making batteries boiling hot when charging to force new sales. Promise I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I’m scared to charge my iPhone because it’s going to set my house on fire!

Bluetooth, brightness, light rather than dark background, background apps, camera on too much by accident...
Go balls deep into the settings and limit background activity.

I did read something about not charging it above 80% but that makes little sense to me. It should do smart charging after 80% so it goes really slow.
