Potted heid on toast Ne Scotland, think I'd vomit now eating that.

What's that..?

Used to love curry and spicy food. Still love it but it gives me diarrhoea now.
Also loved the Vesta curries you used to get, you know the dried ones in a box.
Tried one for old times sake and it was awful. How did I used to eat them!

Tortilla wraps. I used to like them as a sandwich or whatever. They are vile to me now - soggy, flabby, cold things full of preservatives that mean they last for about 10 year in the cupboard. They shouldn't really be classified as food, IMO.
I wish it was possible to buy some nice ones to cook Mexican food, but it doesn't seem possible.

I find that interesting.
I'm Mexican and I've never eaten a cold tortilla. They're not meant to be eaten cold. They're often packaged in shops but you need to heat them, and even have a little char on them before filling them and eating them. Try that before dismissing them for good.

What's that..?

Jellified scrapings of meat is the only way I can describe it ,can be eaten cold straight out the tub or melt it down into a stringy beefy gravy.
The scrapings traditionally came from a coos heid..hence the name.

avocado
so hit and miss

Surely potted heid is ?sheep's head boiled. So brains etc. It solidifies with a jelly when cold. Probably very good for you (my Mum's dog loved it, she would cook it in the pressure cooker).

I understand that and I would like to cook with them. What I'm saying is the ones you can buy in the UK are horrible and full of chemicals.

Meat

I've always loved meat, had it everyday. Then about five weeks ago I got Shingles and almost immediately went off meat. Haven't touched it since. The thought of eating a steak, chicken or sausages makes me heave.
I've no idea why the sudden change but I'm actually quite sad as it was such an intrinsic part of my meals.

Potted Head from The Scots Kitchen by F. Marian McNeill - ckbk
Method. Soak half an ox head and a foot for a few hours. Break them up into several pieces. Remove from the foot as much of the fat and marrow as possible. Scald head and foot with boiling water and, when cool enough, scrape and clean them thoroughly. Put them into a large saucepan

Found on Google but there is also potted hough which is shin of beef meat which is very flavourful.
