Mashed potatoes ( it used to be my favourite way to have potatoes)

All meat ( not vegetarian because I want to be a vegetarian, just because I no longer like the taste of meat)

Chocolate (used to be one of my favourite things and now it seems like plastic to me and galaxy burns my throat)

Pizza (was a favourite tea and now it just tastes of bland nothingness to me)

Ice cream - again doesn’t taste of much anymore.

EatCrow · 12/08/2024 20:04

Sausages, burgers. Anything containing meat that’s been mixed by anyone else. I have to see exactly what I’m eating. I do miss sausages though,

Namechange944 · 12/08/2024 20:07

Pretty much most meat.... Never been a huge fan, but used to eat it pretty regularly. Now most of it turns my stomach. I seem to have become nearly veggie by default.

Droolylabradors · 12/08/2024 20:07

Shop bought cake. I was brought up on it. We had it for pudding a lot. That includes fresh cakes from bakery counters.

I won't even have a scone in a cafe if it doesn't look like it was baked fresh that morning by the actual cafe. Total waste of calories and bleugh, horrible synthetic taste.

I do make exceptions for actual home cooked cake. So if someone brings something into work, or I go to someone's for lunch and they've baked.

AtmosAtmos · 12/08/2024 20:10

Eggs which is a real pain as they make quick easy meals perfect as I’m often cooking for one. Used to have them as a child and maybe I had a bad experience that I can’t remember.

Ihavenotaskedyou · 12/08/2024 20:15

Kfc during pregnancy I had to drive past one several times a day without failure it made me vomit.
Cereal, milk and cheese not eaten since the age of two apparently.
Lamb due to food poisoning at a local pub in my teens.

Raera · 12/08/2024 20:19

Curry, or indeed anything spicey, which is really disappointing because I used to love them.
Stopping smoking reawakened my tastebuds and now I can't do hot!

ProvincialLady2024 · 12/08/2024 20:34

Coca Cola - the original full sugar.

I used to think it was the best drink on earth, but restricted my intake as it's so unhealthy. I had one recently and I was so disappointed, I've changed somehow and it isn't the same.

PotatoPie111 · 12/08/2024 20:34

Most junk/takeaway. I also agree about sausages, I had some a few weeks ago and it’s my last.
Im also not enjoying bacon so much.

Glitterbiscuits · 12/08/2024 20:35

Cadbury Chocolate

AnyFucker · 12/08/2024 20:37

Bananas

NothingAGoodCuppaDoesntFix · 12/08/2024 20:38

Mash
Fried eggs

purser25 · 12/08/2024 20:38

I love a curry mild but suddenly it doesn’t like me

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/08/2024 20:40

Avocado - used to love it.

A couple of bouts of reflux and gastric pain where it was the only common denominator put paid to it :(

Bonjovispjs · 12/08/2024 20:40

I liked liver and kidneys as a kid (I know, I was a strange kid 😆) can't stand them now. Also margarine, ate Flora light for years, now it tastes vile, has to be Anchor spreadable.

Tooty78 · 12/08/2024 20:40

Tea. I used to drink at least 6 mugs per day, but for the last couple of months I have gone right off it.

I do miss it though.

FatBuccaneer · 12/08/2024 20:43

Eggs. Used to love a runny cheese omelette as a kid, Edwina Currie ruined that for a while but I still loved fully cooked omelette, scrambled eggs etc.

Then I picked up some kind of bug that gave me the most vile eggy, sulphuric burps prior to waterfall diarrhoea for what felt like hours. Had multiple attacks of this every year for a good few years.

Cannot bear eggs for fear of the after burps. I'm fat and would have been willing to try the injections, but apparently the sulphur thing is a side effect...

Actually this happened to me in college. Used to drink it by the bottle and then morning, woke up and suddenly it made me sick. Haven’t drank it since except the soda type in mcdonalds and the like. That’s ok

Avocados. I ate some once lunch time and came down with a stomach bug that night. Not because of the avocados, I'd picked a bug up off my son but I now have a strong association between eating avocados and being sick regardless. I also used to love really hot food, the spicier the better. I had horrible heartburn in my first pregnancy which put paid to me enjoying any spicy food whilst I was pregnant, but even over 2 years later my stomach has never quite got over it and if I eat anything very spicy now I just end up with an upset stomach :(

This is giardiasis

motleymop · 12/08/2024 21:48

Tortilla wraps. I used to like them as a sandwich or whatever. They are vile to me now - soggy, flabby, cold things full of preservatives that mean they last for about 10 year in the cupboard. They shouldn't really be classified as food, IMO.
I wish it was possible to buy some nice ones to cook Mexican food, but it doesn't seem possible.

MooonDreamerz · 12/08/2024 21:50

Goat's cheese but also have gone off fast food like McDonald's and kfc. I have it occasionally but not nearly as much as I used to and don't enjoy it as much.

catwithflowers · 12/08/2024 21:54

Salmon. Used to really like it now even the smell makes feel quite nauseous 🤢

Lifelover16 · 12/08/2024 21:57

Tinned macaroni cheese.
open a tin now and it smells like vomit.

Thornton ‘s chocolates - taste like sugar and grease. I used to love the one in the gold wrapper but wouldn’t eat any of them now.

User90121 · 12/08/2024 21:59

@motleymop i’m the same. Crosta and Mollica piadinas are good wraps and the mini ones are good soft tacos.
