To ask you to guess the year by the fashion…

When I was exactly mid- teen, the following was in fashion:

  • Deep side parting with chunky side fringe, layers, straightened to heck
  • Kohl eyeliner but all other make up foundation- coloured, including lips!
  • Skinny jeans had just come in, if ripped then even better. Low rise
  • Converse was seeing a revival
  • Tight tank style tops, or those preppy Abercrombie t-shirts with the collars
  • A return of a very short raa-raa skirt for clubbing
  • Heels (pointed toe) when clubbing and quite possibly a halter top
  • No ankle socks with trainers - they had to be invisible!!
  • Ballet pumps
  • Tiffany heart jewellery
  • Lancome Juicy Tubes
  • Long beaded necklaces
  • “Peasant” skirts, floaty stuff with tassels etc., those wide circular linked belts
  • Von Dutch, Juicy Couture, Lacoste, Wheels and Doll Baby were all sought after

I’m 33 and I think we must be about the same age because a lot of this haunts me 😂

Juicy Couture gave it away for me. 2003/2004

I loved those juicy couture velour tracksuits. LOVED THEM.

Well done all! I had 2004 in my head.

I was 14, going to under 18 clubbing nights - sneaking in vodka in water bottles. Cared so terribly about what my friends thought of me and had to follow every trend to the tee from those awful magazines! I definitely have some fond memories to look back on now. Also, I am 34 now and SO happy that heels are nowhere to be seen, even in bars/clubs. Hated wearing the things!

Hmm, I'd say 2004/2005 as I would have been about 13/14 and remember all of those 😂

It was the hair straigteners that did it for me. I was early 20s and they were a revelation.
And I was also wearing pointy shoes/ruffle skirts on nights out.
