Wedding ring sizing - advice please!

Hi

I need some advice on my wedding ring sizing...it is a simple diamond band from a high street retailor...in the shop they sized me as a "R" but I decided on a size bigger "S" as i felt a little tight for me. Now I am not sure as it is a little loose (which I liked( and dont know if I should resize it before the wedding. I am not used to wearing rings so not sure how tight is too tight (my fingers do swell a little in the heat). I won't be wearing it along side any other rings. Any advice? Thank you!!

Does it feel as though it will slip off if you shake your hand with your fingers straight? Do the same with wet hands - does it slip off? If so I would get it resized. If not, I would wait until after your wedding, wear it for a few weeks and see how you feel then. Some people like their rings tighter than other people. Wearing more than one ring on the same finger will make it feel tighter.
If you have slim fingers with large knuckles your rings will always feel a bit loose on your finger and spin around (although there are things a jeweller can do about that too).

Oh! And never ever ever wear your rings when swimming in the sea! I have had to remake many rings after people go on honeymoon and return without their wedding ring after losing it in the sea. Your fingers shrink very quickly in the sea.

I’d be inclined to leave it for now and live in it a bit. I got both my rings a size larger and I’m glad I did. I haven’t massively changed size since then. Two children and I’m maybe a size larger in clothing. But my rings fit well. And aren’t easy to get off on the rare occurrence when I need to take them off.
