Making friends.

Hi there,
I'm really struggling with loneliness at the moment.

I'm a girl who is looking for positive, true friends that I can enjoy life and our kids with.

I am 28 and I don't have any friends at all. I go out with my family but I get lonely. I feel like you don't get to my age and have no friends unless something is wrong. I don't feel as a teenager I was a very good friend at all. I am quite anxious and worry a lot what people think of me.
I want to make new friends now and keep them. I just do not know how to do this!!
Is this possible at my age? I'd love mum friends to meet to take our kids out with.

I really recommend taking a look on meetup.com to see what's going on in your local area. If you specifically want mum friends then maybe join in with organising things for the school. If you have any free evenings then maybe a book club. If you have a local library there may be activities there for families.

You need places to be, regularly, for an ongoing time. Groups, clubs, hobbies, volunteering, different jobs. True friends come from shared experiences. I would aim to make friendly acquaintances with lots of different people and get out and do things with them.

So some volunteering. It's a great way to make friends.
