Does anybody know what time Aldi opens?

Google says 10am which is fine, but what I'm asking is whether or not the tills are open then or is it just for browsing. I was sure they only opened everywhere at 10:30am on a Sunday but I can't find anything online about it.

Does anybody know?

My local Aldi opens for browsing at 9.45 and tills at 10am

It depends which Aldi. One of my local stores opens at 10, the other at 11. Their website will tell you.

My local just says open at 10 so assume you can just go in then and go to the till straight away? Would be annoying to go and have to wait until 10:30 to pay!

10 is more than likely

Depends on which one. Eg one in Edinburgh is 9am, one in London is 11am.

If you’re in England, and have Sunday opening hours, then look at the time it closes. Then you’ll know if the first 30 mins is real or just browsing.

soz, didn’t read your OP properly 😐 my local just says 10am opening.

LadySailorr · 11/08/2024 09:10

What time does it close? As that will answer when it opens.

And I mean the store you’re asking about, not all Aldis, as they’re all different…

Shuts at 4pm

11 to 5 is standard Sunday trading but some places like to randomly do 10 to 4 so they're out of sync with the other shops for some reason.

The tills will open at 10 then - Sunday trading laws in England mean shops can only sell things for six hours. Our local Sainsbury's opens its doors at half nine and you can be queuing at the checkout at 10 ready to leave.

Most stores I've worked in are 10-4, maybe it's just a Tesco thing though.

Willmafrockfit · 11/08/2024 09:54

we have a waitrose that is 11 til 5
but that is an anomaly
every other store is 10 til 4

What time does it close? That should give you a clue as I think shops are only allowed to be open for a certain number of hours on a Sunday
