Day trip to London with the kids- where else to go?

My mum and I are taking me 2 children for a day trip to London

We are intending to go to either the science museum or history museum (I always loved both as a kid). We took my son to the history museum a few years ago as well, and he was fascinated

Can anyone recommend/ suggest some other free things we may be able to do near either one of them please ? Indoors or outdoors .

I've tried looking on Google maps what is near, but my directions are terrible 🤣

Science museum and natural history museum (and V&A) are all next door to each other. You could do both/all?

If you can afford to pay for the the wonderlab exhibition at science museum was great.

Take swim stuff and go to the Diana memorial fountain which is a twenty minute walk from the two museums. Great fun on a hot day.

How old are your kids?

We like visiting viral food spots, and Burrough market is usually good fun. But does get crowded.

A mooch along the south. Bank or a river bait tour is also fun.
