Day trip to London with the kids- where else to go?

My mum and I are taking me 2 children for a day trip to London

We are intending to go to either the science museum or history museum (I always loved both as a kid). We took my son to the history museum a few years ago as well, and he was fascinated

Can anyone recommend/ suggest some other free things we may be able to do near either one of them please ? Indoors or outdoors .

I've tried looking on Google maps what is near, but my directions are terrible 🤣

Science museum and natural history museum (and V&A) are all next door to each other. You could do both/all?

If you can afford to pay for the the wonderlab exhibition at science museum was great.

Changing of the guard if you're going on the right day!

The sky garden is amazing (and free) but you must book a slot in advance.

Take swim stuff and go to the Diana memorial fountain which is a twenty minute walk from the two museums. Great fun on a hot day.

How old are your kids?

We like visiting viral food spots, and Burrough market is usually good fun. But does get crowded.

A mooch along the south. Bank or a river bait tour is also fun.
