…..has this at the end…

”Mrs Connolly, who has dark shoulder-length hair and was wearing a pink jumper, is married to Conservative West Northamptonshire councillor Raymond Connolly.”

Weird sentence to add in. Does it matter what length or colour her hair is?

Obviously she’s not childminding now which will cause some difficulty for those parents.

It's fairly common to report what people are wearing in court reporting. Often to pad out the word count if it is only a pre trial hearing and there's not a lot to report. Here is Ricky Jones court appearance. They don't mention his hair colour but do describe his clothes.

Oh really? I don’t think I’ve seen it before. That sentence stuck out like a sore thumb!

A friend's mother used to say, "Why do they always put 'blonde divorcee'? What's that got to do with it?"

I know, brown hair and pink jumper but the same kind of thing.

I was at the bottom of the garden today, where the fairies are, and I had a little bonfire. It was controlled, and small.

I was thinking about the words this woman posted. I wondered if she's ever been near flames when a fire gets out of hand. I was thinking that a just punishment would be for her to attend 100 fires with a fire brigade and have to stand quite close to the action, albeit kitted out in protective clothing. That might be mean of me. Logistically it is far easier to fine her or put her in prison.

CormorantStrikesBack · 10/08/2024 22:51

@upinaballoon i hope you weren’t burning the fairies out!

Looks like she can expect a prison sentence then if she’s been remanded.

I have got myself into a knot here by joking about the fairies at the bottom of the garden, as well as making serious comments about this woman's post, for which she is in trouble.

I would like to make it clear that I am commenting on Cormorant's first sentence. The fairies were fine. They've been on the 'Tinkerbell's Tips' health and safety course so they flitted up-wind for a while.

On the serious side of these posts, perhaps today's news will have something to say about Lucy Connolly.

CormorantStrikesBack · 12/08/2024 17:00

Oh yes she was due back in court today.

CormorantStrikesBack · 12/08/2024 17:01

She’s been remanded till Sept now.

Good.

VaddaABeetch · 12/08/2024 17:05

What did she say? B

bombastix · 12/08/2024 17:05

Well I suppose she is going to head to the Crown Court to try for not guilty. But the only difference between her and some of the other offenders is her perceived social status.

I say perceived because it’s clear by her own words she is repellent and hateful.

AgnesX · 12/08/2024 17:07

It's great seeing these people get their just desserts.

I die nit realize that a man has already been jailed for retweeting what Connolly said.

If there is defence and a trial then it will be interesting to see

Not just for retweeting.
