Birthday cards

Just wondering if people still send cards. Recently daughter celebrated her 18th birthday and didn't get many cards. Even very close relatives didn't send them.

I don’t think they do and in fact I had never heard of it until I moved to England. I know some people treasure them and my in laws always displayed theirs but maybe it was a different generation?
