Feel exhausted by holidays already

Hi, just wondering if anyone else feel overwhelmed and have any tips to share. I have two DCs (7 and 4), they go to clubs during the week (2-3 days) but come back exhausted, winging and crying if they stay past 3pm so
I have to pick them up earlier and work from home while they are around. The noise level is constant, they ask for attention, they shout loudly even when just playing together in the garden, they fight, they want snacks etc etc. I feel like there is no end to the noise. I tried to organise play dates but feel even more overwhelmed afterwards. The eldest one is also going through phase of arguing with me. I thought I would enjoy our time together over holidays but feel I am doing it all totally wrong and it definitely have more to do with me and my parenting style. My husband helps as much as he could and they have been at the grandparents for few days which was a breather but since than, it all went back to «normal ». They are by far the loudest kids on our street, it’s embarrassing.

Get them to bed earlier and leave them at the club until when your work finishes. At least then noise/whinging/crying afterwards won't interfere with your work.

I don't think there's much you can do re the general noise - kids are noisy.

I agree with this. I'd definitely leave them at the club, what time does it finish?

If they're going to whinge and cry anyway, it might as well be later on in the day once you've finished work!

In fact, I'd be looking to have them in 3-4 days every week tbh. They're old enough to cope.
