If the Apollo Victoria in London, there's an Italian restaurant called Il Posto across the road from the theatre which was lovely when we went a few years ago

Viewfrommyhouse · 10/08/2024 13:58

Tozi is nice if you like Italian.

BeaRF75 · 10/08/2024 13:58

Just Google that exact question and you will get a list.

Cuisine? Budget? You can't move for restaurants round there.

TeaOrCoffeeOrHotChocolate · 10/08/2024 14:27

Depends what food you like. How much you want to spend etc.

Also how far you want to walk.

I like Sarastro but it's a 15 min walk.

Pix Pinxtos is good. Think that's probably only a 5 min walk.

But there are so many restaurants to choose from.

It's very close to Chinatown Do you want Chinese/Vietnamese recommendations?

purpleme12 · 10/08/2024 15:34

Yes please

TheOccupier · 10/08/2024 19:19

There's also the Hammersmith Apollo FYI. Surely you can find yourself a restaurant? There are hundreds within a few minutes of that theatre.

purpleme12 · 10/08/2024 19:32

Dearie me

It's a wonder people some people on here reply if they've got nothing useful to add to the thread.

OP posts:
TheOccupier · 10/08/2024 19:49

It's a wonder people post this vague clueless nonsense to begin with. Just look up the theatre on google maps and click the "restaurants" button.

purpleme12 · 10/08/2024 21:06

So people aren't allowed to ask for recommendations on here?
Come on.

Lots of places do pre theatre dinners. Ham Yard hotel is nearby if you want a bit of class! @purpleme12 We quite like a late afternoon tea. If you want after theatre, just wander into Chinatown.

Or look at Dean Street Townhouse. They do everything very well. The Petersham is lovely if you like Italian. Not cheap but lovely! You can get pre theatre there.

Come on.

You could at least give people a steer. There's more than one Apollo and thousands of restaurants. If you say your budget or what sort of thing you like to eat people can help you more.

purpleme12 · 11/08/2024 09:29

But I did say the right Apollo one. All the others seem to be called Apollo and then another name.

I have thanked all the posters who posted recommendations like the thread was for. They were very useful

@purpleme12 We also use Open Table. You sometimes find great offers for pre theatre. Eg The St Martin’s Lane Hotel. I always look at Firmdale Hotels too. A couple not far away. Check out the web site. They are comfortable and stylish.
