It's a Vinted one...

Ideas of what to do here please.

Bought a leather jacket on Vinted. Described as new without tags.

Received it and straight away could tell it was not brand new. Not in terrible condition but had bobbling to the lining inside. Then I find lipgloss and chewing gum in the pocket 😆

There seems to be no way to report this on Vinted - only if the item is damaged etc.

In any case I do want to keep the jacket as I like it but just not at the price that I paid for a brand new item.

Any ideas on the best course of action?

Have you marked it as okay on Vinted yet? If you have, then I'm afraid they won't do anything at all.
If you haven't, first step is to raise it with the seller, tell them what you found, and the price you would pay for it. Ask them to refund the difference to your PayPal. They have no obligation to.
If they say no, raise it with Vinted, mark as not described with lots of pictures, and they will tell you to send it back for a refund. You will need to cover the cost of return postage yourself (normally a £2.79 Evri label or similar).
Vinted don't ask for a partial refund, or force the buyer to cover return costs, they will.only.allow you to return it. If the seller doesn't respond very fast, move on to the next step with Vinted, as you only have 48 hours to report a fault.

Great thank you.

I've not marked it as ok yet so I will send the seller a message and see what happens next...

Seller just saying that she bought it from someone else as new without tags and she didn't check pockets before selling.....

I asked if she would consider partial refund and no reply 🤷‍♀️

If the seller doesn't want to give you a partial refund - and you open an issue with vinted then vinted will make you send it back for a full refund.
They're getting worse on protecting buyers - and even if you do send it back the seller doesn't have to pay for the postage.

So if you wanted to keep it: I'd tell her it's not new without tags & then leave feedback to state that with however many stars you think is appropriate.

Sounds like she's not going to give you any money back though
