How do I stop this?

DD is 7mo next week she was ebf for 5 months then switched formula / bottles

shes now on food and bottles during the day but when she wakes after bed time she roots and only wants to breastfeed won’t take her usual rocking that she will during the day

how can I stop this as I want to fully stop bf?

Just persevere, and wear a high necked top, she get used to it and find rocking equally comforting soon enough.

Thanks it’s hard as I have an older DS (he’s 3) so she’s usually waking as I put him to bed/during his bed time but I think I need to persevere

it’s like in the night too when she wakes and needs to go back asleep she wants to bf

she won’t take a dummy (last tried few months ago tbh) but now she’s pretty much 7 months I think should we not introduce it as it’s probably better to not give her one?

Yea don't give her a dummy. And I'd stop the rocking too. Put her down and if needed stroke her tummy and say a few soothing words. If fussing during the night, check she's dry then again just gentle soothing touch but try not to pick her up.

You say 'we' - can you get the other person to take over bedtimes to break the habit?
